THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The neighborhood of Gracia is an area with a popular and alternative atmosphere frequented by artists and artisans, with its workshops and studios to visit.
The first thing that catches the eye when visiting the neighborhood of Gracia is the feeling of being in another place, like in a small town.
In fact, what in principle were farmhouses and isolated houses, place of summer of the Catalan bourgeoisie, in 1850 became the independent municipality of the Vila de Gracia, in 1880 was built according to the Plan Cerdá the Paseo de Gracia, which united the city of Barcelona with the town, and finally in 1897 joined Barcelona, becoming a neighborhood.
It is one of the most emblematic neighborhoods of Barcelona, for its streets and squares full of people drinking something in its numerous terraces.
Its busiest street is Gran de Gracia, which is full of clothing stores, footwear, perfumeries, etc., right next to the apartment, and which joins directly with the Paseo de Gracia.
You will enjoy a wide gastronomy, with restaurants and nightspots of all kinds very close to the apartment.
From August 15th they celebrate their popular festivals, where neighbors decorate their streets with different themes in a contest for being the best street, with music and shows in the streets, and a very festive atmosphere.
Arrivals and departures
CHECK-IN
Check-in from 17:00 to 21:00. Other times:
ARRIVING EARLIER, if there are guests who leave that same day, then we can stay from 11:30 to manage the check-in, leave the bags and go for a walk, but you can not return until 17:00 for the cleaning team to prepare.
ARRIVING LATER THAN 21:00 is possible for an extra fee of 40€ to pay in cash to the person who receives you. After 01:00am the fee is 140 €. Notify before.
If you arrive by plane it is very helpful to have the flight number so we can check any changes in schedule or delays.
UPON ARRIVAL
We will wait you to show the apartment, inform you about wi-fi, alarm, tourist information, pay the tourist tax (in cash), give you the keys, etc.
CHECK-OUT
Departure time at 11:00 am, arriving cleaning company to prepare the apartment for the following guests.
If possible, you can leave your bags at the entrance and pick them up in the afternoon, if it can be combined with the schedules of the new guests, the cleaning staff and the check-out person.
Someone will come to pick up the keys or you leave them behind the door, and close by the hand, leaving all closed.
Any changes to check-in and check-out times are made to the advantage of guests always that this is possible.
HOW TO GET TO THE APARTMENT
FROM THE AIRPORT:
Bus 46 cheap and direct to Plaza España, 20 minutes.
Bus A1 or A2 (blue) direct to Plaza España or Plaza Cataluña, more comfortable but more expensive, about 5 € per person, 20 min.
Then the Metro LINE 3 (green) from Spain or Catalonia.
(*) Metro LINE 3 direct to Fontana station (20 minutes more). When leaving the street, cross and take Bretón de los Herreros street and the first street on the right is Auléstia and Pijuan nº 25.
BUS/METRO CARD SALES AT AIRPORT
Head towards the exit, and instead of turning right towards the bus and the train, continue straight towards the parking lot some meters more, and you will find a small shop selling tobacco (Estanco) and there you can buy cards for several days or trips at a better price.

BY TAXI:
It is a more comfortable solution, with suitcases and a little faster. We can book for you in advance a big taxi for maximum 7 paxs. There are also Uber and Cabify solutions if you have the app.
BY CAR:
Some private parkings around the area. The BSM Parking company has one on the street Torrent de l’Olla which is cheaper. You can buy online cards for several days, at a lower price (when you arrive, enter and change card in the machine) and also with this card you can park in the other car parks of Barcelona of this company, without paying anything else.
